Electrical Wiring
- Identify any special electrical or wiring needs by room
- For example: home sound system or wiring for ceiling fans in bedrooms
- Start the electrical wiring once the house has been fully enclosed.
- Ceiling and wall lighting may be installed during this phase, or at least designed so that electrical switches and sockets can be installed prior to dry
- Consider:
- Multiple switches for a single light sources.
For example: upstairs and downstairs switches for light
- Installing dual switches for light and fans
- Ordering photoelectric cell for the outside and pathways
- Installing motion detection sensors around the garage and back
- Requesting special wiring for computers, entertainment rooms, alarm systems, ceiling fans, and the like — see our home wired discussion below
- Adding additional outlets along the kitchen counters and bathroom.
