Electrical Wiring
  • Identify any special electrical or wiring needs by room
    • For example: home sound system or wiring for ceiling fans in bedrooms
  • Start the electrical wiring once the house has been fully enclosed.
  • Ceiling and wall lighting may be installed during this phase, or at least designed so that electrical switches and sockets can be installed prior to dry
  • Consider:
    • Multiple switches for a single light sources.
For example: upstairs and downstairs switches for light
    • Installing dual switches for light and fans
    • Ordering photoelectric cell for the outside and pathways
    • Installing motion detection sensors around the garage and back
    • Requesting special wiring for computers, entertainment rooms, alarm systems, ceiling fans, and the like — see our home wired discussion below
    • Adding additional outlets along the kitchen counters and bathroom.
